Reverse logistics may sound like something from your college mathematics book, but it is simply the reuse of products and/or their appropriate disposal as necessary.
At Hopkins Distribution Company, we employ reverse logistics when we receive customer returns and put the items back to stock or dispose of them per client request. Because we are a 3pl, we are capable of handling requests like this in-house. Oftentimes we are able to repackage product and put it back to available stock, thus saving our customers time and money while also implementing a shared goal of staying green. Not having to send this returned product to a vendor to refurbish, and then send it back to the distributor is an ideal way to keep our clients efficient and we’re happy to be a part of that.
